Hello Brethren,
Do you like to be lied to? Our society is a lying society, and this is not new. In the book of Isaiah, chapter 59 verse 13, notice this statement "in transgressing and Lying against the Lord."
This is one of the boldest statements in the bible. The word against in the Hebrew "al" can mean :above, over, or about. this is talking about someone looking down upon the Lord by lying about him. For some prideful reason men want to lie. The very worst type of lying is to lie to God and about God.
Let's read Jeremiah 7 verses 8-11 "Behold, you trust in lying words, that cannot profit. Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom you know not. And come and stand before me in my house, which is called by my name, and say we are delivered to do all these abominations? Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Even I have seen it, saith the Lord.
Men are again lying against God, notice " we are delivered to do all these abominations." We can look at this society today, at its abominable practices of Xmas, New years, Easter and Valentine's Day, and see the "Churches' with a room called the "sanctuary" observing and promoting those days. They attach God to them and in so doing , they place themselves "above" or "against" God because they are promoting lies.
When are we going to speak up and stand up, against these lies about God? If we bought a product and the sales person lied to us about that product, we would most likely get angry and return it! We can not allow men to lie to us about God and take it passively. We need to stand up and speak up about these abominations.
Revelations 21:8 " But the fearful, and unbelieving and the abominable and murders and whore-mongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burn with fire and brimstone--which is the second death."
