Mustard Seed - September/October 2004
Hello Everyone,
Have you ever tried to prove something without any proof? There are millions today trying to prove something when there is no proof. When it comes to the worshiping of our Heavenly Father or Jesus Christ, did you know that worship can be in vain? Take some time and read Mark 7:1-13, then turn to Isaiah 29: 9-14, the Bible is speaking of worshipers choosing how they will worship The holy One of Israel, and the God of Israel is putting them into slumber (sleep), and as time progresses, they will understand less and less. Some of these people may be very intelligent, but because they choose their paths and manner of worship, they can not come to the truth (II Tim.3:3-7).
There is no proof in the word of God stating or showing that worldly holidays, Christmas, New Years, Valentine, or Easter has ever been used to worship the almighty God, yet some will try to prove that those days do teach the worship of the True God, and they have NO proof at all. If these people were attorney's in a trial, would you want them to try and prove your case?
Then there are those that will say " I don't observe those days, but others in my Church do, and it's up to them." When you hear or see this, does it remind you of Pontius Pilate, with the mob that had delivered Jesus to him? Pilate knew that they (the mob) was wrong, what did Pilate do? Mt. 27:24, he washed his hands and said, " I am innocent," Was he innocent of this wrongful deed?
Whether you are a shepherd or not, you are consenting to the group or congregation by not telling them, you are saying that their deeds and actions are acceptable to you and God. Just think, a person observing Easter versus the Passover, when there is no Easter support.
Then on the other hand, there are days that brings worship to God according to truth (God's word). Those should be reviewed and studied through the whole Bible. The book of Leviticus, chapter 23 gives the outline, we need to reprove the proof of God's Feasts. As we reprove God's Festivals, that will be an igniter for the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, the Feast of Tabernacles and the Eight Day Festival. It is so good to have such a thoughtful God to worship in spirit and in truth .
In Christ Service
