Why Go To The Feast of Tabernacles?
A Glimpse At The Fall Festivals
Letter From The Editor
Mustard Seed - September/October 2005
Hello Brethren,
How are your plans for the Feast of Trumpets, Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles, and the Eight Day progressing? In all of your planning and preparation, be sure to plan on helping someone else, this need to be prepared for before leaving for any of the above mentioned Festivals.
If everyone planned to do good to just one person at each Festival, just think of the impression that would be to those attending regularly and for the visitors and guests. We should always remember what Jesus Christ said in the book of John, chapter 13 verses 34 & 35, "A new commandment I give unto you, that you, love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another, By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love (among) one another.
When we are assembled, this is a golden opportunity to have love among one another. (love among one another, is in the original copies of the Greek manuscript). We can prepare for the day, let's not forget that the one another is referring to the disciples of Christ. This will help build up anticipation for everyone attending the Festivals.
The young ones (children) need to be remembered at the Festivals as well as on weekly Sabbaths. Our children like attention from the adults more than we might think. Try remembering when you were a child, when an adult showed some special attention to you, it was probably very enjoyable and unforgettable.
The Festivals can be used as Galatians chapter 6 verse 10 states "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."
