Mustard Seed - November/December 2008
Hello Brethren,
As this year begin to come to a close, this also will be the last issue of the Mustard seed for 2008. We plan to continue on in 2009 with a few changes in the making.
Also, The Church of God, New Mexico will host the Feast of Tabernacles in 2009, here in Albuquerque. This will be our first time as a host congregation. The preliminaries have been completed. We have contracted with the Hilton Hotel for its largest meeting room, and a smaller room for Sabbath School. These rooms are for the entire Feast of Tabernacles and the Eight Day.
The Hilton’s facilities, staff and quality, is suitable for the Festival. We also have 25 rooms blocked off for the Feast of Tabernacles. From October 2-10, 2009. Our website www.cognm.org has a link to the Hilton that you can utilize to register for a room or rooms.
As the year (2008-2009) progress, we will have more information for everyone that would be interested in coming to Albuquerque in 2009 for the Feast of Tabernacles.
We will have teaching services everyday, Bible studies in the evenings, personal counseling for those desiring it, Sabbath school for our small children and a Festival Choir. These are the essential elements that we can offer with our abilities. We are depending on our Heavenly Father to provide leadership and inspiration.
We know the purpose of all God’s Festivals is to learn to fear of the Lord ( Deut.14:22-23). This is why we will emphasize the Feasts of God, sightseeing and various tours should be secondary. The book of Proverbs chapter 16, verse 9 states “A man’s heart devises his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”
We are looking forward to meeting many of you for the first time, during the fall festival season.
In Christ Service,
John Shavers
