Sept 2008 may well go down in history as a pivotal point for Mankind; particularly for the Nations of Israel.  You may want to review my article in the July/August 2008 issue of 'The Mustard Seed' on 'In The Sight of The Nations' about the November 4, 2008 Presidential Election which was held last week. This was a Prophetic Election; because God Almighty intervened as to it's outcome starting after 9/15/08! I mentioned this in the next to last paragraph of the article "In the end, it will be Almighty God who will decide who our next President will be—according to His Divine plan being worked out here below!" See Dan. 4:17.

The question is—why did God intervene as to the outcome? There are numerous reasons why and this article will reveal some of the major ones. Last Tuesday night-Nov 4; after most of the results were in; it became clear that Senator Barack 0'Bama from Illinois would become our next President (at this writing: President Elect until Jan 20, 2009)—the World-Wide reaction was simply astonishing! Why? Because the Gentile Nations of the World still look to America for hope, opportunity & leadership 'To be a light to the Gentiles'-This is why God called Israel in the first place-anciently and today so that the Gentile Nations would see the bountiful blessings that come from obeying God's Commandments & Laws and would therefore emulate (follow by example) Israel. It is apparent to us that there is no nation that has projected God’s word to others like they should have, Israel did not do as God instructed them, this will not happen until the 1000 year Millennium rule of Christ (see Isa. 62).

Prior to 9/15/08 Republican Presidential contender-Senator John McCain from Arizona was leading in most opinion polls and then starting on 9/15/08- the dramatic Wall Street Tsunami struck at the world's financial system—almost bringing down the world's financial markets that could have started another 1929 depression! Immediately foreign governments began blaming America for the crisis! Many of you reading this article including this writer saw our pensions, 401k's, stocks/bonds, etc lose a lot of their value overnight as the stock markets around the world took a nose-dive!

God had a two-fold purpose for exposing Wall Street's corruption and greed and the lack of Government oversight to protect American & Foreign investors. First it was to change the course of the election—we will need to use Spiritual Discernment to understand why He did it in the coming months! Secondly God used the crisis to reveal the endemic corruption (Hypocrisy )that is in America (living on credit and reaping the bitter fruits it leaves behind). Christ said in Matt. 10:26 "...for nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, or kept secret that will not become known".

A detailed prophecy in Jeremiah 30 brings all of this into clear focus as it describes Israel perfectly! Verse 11 says that God will correct Israel in measure and with judgment and will not leave Her un-punished. Verses 12-15 "Thus says the Lord: Your hurt is incurable and your wound (the outcome of your sins) is grievous. There is none to plead your cause; for the pressing together of your wound you have no healing (such as temporary stop-gap measures as The Federal government bailout of the banks, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, AIG, etc) no binding p1aster (to keep the system afloat)."

Verse 14 is a key verse---it says “ all your lovers/allies have forgotten you they neither seek , inquire of, or require you. For I [God) have hurt you with the wound of an enemy---because your sins are glaring and innumerable (for all the world to see)".
Verse 15 "Why do you cry out (complain) because of your hurt (the natural results of your sins)? Your pain is deadly (incurable).

People are looking for a man (President) to solve their problems, but the pains that are coming are self-inflicted as we read in Jeremiah 30. Only when there is heart-felt, repentance to God and a change in attitude of mind and thought will God hear!

Jeremiah 30:7 states "Alas! For that day will be great, so that none will be like it; it will be the time of Jacob's (unequal) trouble, but He will be saved out of it (The Tribulation)."

Brethren- the key thing to watch in the coming month's will be the willingness of major foreign nations/investors- mainly China, Japan, Saudia Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, to continue investing in the U.S.--or will they; because of possible future con-games from Wall Street and the risks involved—abandon the U.S. and take their money elsewhere (to the Euro?)--this is called 'Capital Flight'. If this occurs- then we will know why God intervened in this year's election and the dangerous economic times that lie ahead for our nation. Debt will play a roll in the unwinding of American power and prestige!

The Church's mission in the end-time is to sound the alarm (warning) to the Nations , (read Ezekiel 2:5-10, 3:9, 3:26 and 12:3) to repent and to change their ways; whether they want to hear the hard truths or not—so that they will have no excuse of not being for-warned. It is also a time for God's Church to shore up Her Spiritual House—to solidify our faith, be long-suffering and patiently enduring the trials that we must face in the future. Our Savior states that we are not to be alarmed (Matt. 24:4-8) at these times of trouble coming, but to look up and rejoice as we see our Salvation drawing near (Luke 21:28). So let's be faithful servants doing God's Work, loving one another more and more as we see that Great Day approaching!
